THE FOLK ENSEMBLE SINCA NOUA

Joc din Tara Codrului - Hello Schoten CIOFF 2013

The  Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble was founded in 2007 on the initiative of Dumitru Flucus the Mayor of the village.

The main target of The Sinca Noua Folk ensemble is to discover, preserve and promote Romanian spiritual values of the Fagaras County:music, national costumes, traditions ,local mentality in  their most genuine form.

This main target is materialized by the participation of The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble at all cultural events of the community of the Fagaras County and of course at other cultural events throughout the country and abroad.

The aim is to promote Romanian folk in its most genuine form and thus contributing to the enrichment of Traditional European Culture.

The ensemble has over 40 members. The group of musicians accompanying The Sinca Noua  Folk Ensemble is a traditional one, typical to the area and consists of:viola, bass, drums, trumpet, saxophone and accordion.

Choreographic elements and style of interpretation of the dances are learned directly from the source:the elderly inhabitants of the community. The fact that the members of the ensemble have the chance to be taught the  most authentic and pure form of art and dance is one of the undisputable  advantages of The Sinca Noua  Folk Ensemble.

All costumes are handmade by the members of the community themselves in strict accordance with the two components of the old style:patterns and colours.

A feature of the Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble is that all dancers are able to play instruments and also sing traditional songs. All the performances are live without the use of playback.

The members of The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemle are spontaneous and sociable people. They interact with their audience by implying it in a pleasant and positive way.For The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble along with the performance the public becomes part of the show.

Their place of birth Sinca Noua is a truly “Romanian Spark”like there are few left worldwide.Sinca Noua  breathes Romanian Tradition that happens in the present tense. The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble carries this imprint and the “scent”of the interpretation along with their natural buoyancy transposes the audience to the authentic décor of the Romanian Village in Transylvania.

Each participation of The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble leads to successful performances.Audience and organizers are equally satisfied and pleased. The results obtained fulfill, improve and recommend The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble to participate in national and international cultural events.

The Sinca Noua Folk Ensemble can be contacted at the footer of this page or by using the contact form.We recommend of course to save our visiting card by scanning the QR code next to Contact.
